01 / The scan

A live LIDAR point cloud of a real room — the walls as they actually are, to the millimeter.

02 / The model

The parametric 3D model of the piece on the bench, in the room it was designed for.

03 / The drawings

Shop drawings with title block and tolerance callouts — the documents the piece is built from.

A full wall of display shelving over a wall-to-wall credenza chest — floor to ceiling, drawn as one parametric model. Every panel, reveal, and shelf in this file is the piece that gets built.

Garage storage wall & corner

A right-hand corner unit for a garage — bench seating with drawer bases and slat-wall uppers on the short wall, turning into a full run of kitchen-height storage across the long wall. Built to survive a garage and still read as furniture.

How commissioning works

Four steps. Firm number. No estimates.

  1. Step 01

    A short call or text thread with J.T.

    Send a photo of the room if you like. Fifteen minutes, usually. We'll both know quickly whether this is a fit — and you'll leave with a straight answer on investment range either way.

  2. Step 02

    The Room Design Study — $1,250, fully credited

    J.T. comes to the house, LIDAR-scans the room to the millimeter, and builds a true 3D model of your piece in your space. In 3–5 business days you have drawings and a firm, fixed proposal — not an estimate. If you build with us, the $1,250 comes off the price. Every dollar.

  3. Step 03

    The build

    In our Phoenix shop, one commission on the bench at a time. You're welcome to visit while your piece is being made.

  4. Step 04

    The install

    One crew, led by the owner. Dust-contained, scribed to the wall, done in days — the room reset before we leave.

Every commission runs on the same spine — LIDAR scan, parametric design, firm proposal, one-crew install. These are the rooms we're taking this year.

Golf simulator rooms

$25,000 – $45,000+

Impact-screen clearances, projector throw geometry, acoustic panel reveals, ventilation that actually moves air, and rack access your integrator will thank you for. Millwork that makes a $60k simulator look like it was born in the room — we work alongside your AV or simulator installer as a matter of course.

$14,000 – $28,000

A camera-ready wall with warm integrated lighting, concealed wire chases, acoustic softening, and lockable storage — a room with professional gravity that still belongs in the house. Ladder rails and collection display where the shelves earn them.

$15,000 – $38,000

Concealed equipment with real service access, load-rated shelving, humidity-aware display for collections, and finish continuity with the architecture around it. Technology disappears; the woodwork stays serviceable for the next decade of gear.

The owner

You'll deal with one person. The one holding the chisel.

O'Neill Millwork is a one-bench shop by design. J.T. takes the first call, scans the room, draws the piece, builds it, and leads the install. Nothing is handed off, so nothing is lost between the person who promised and the person who delivers.

That's also why the shop takes a limited number of commissions at a time — early clients get something later ones won't: the owner's undivided attention on every cut.
